Chance furrowed his brow. "Fenrir..." He meowed. Pressing his cheek against her. "You can tell me anything. You know that right?" He insisted, brushing his tail along her flank warmly.
Fenrir looked at him with large blue eyes, she felt scared. She wasn't sure if she should tell him, after all maybe she should stick to her duty. She should stick to just being a Healer, she probably wouldn't make a good mother anyways.
"Nothing, just that..." she said and looked at her paws.
Chance lifted the tip of her chin with a gentle paw and shifted to stand just in front of her. "Fenrir." He meowed warmly. "Tell me. I want to know." He insisted, his blue eyes smothering. It couldn't be as bad as she was making it out to be.
Fenrir looked at him, her eyes welling with tears, "I fear that I am asking too much of you. I've already asked you to give up your traveling-life to stay with me...I don't want to force you to do anything..." she said shyly and continued, "I was just admiring how all the other she-cats had kits...well most of them."
Chance's chest clenched. "Nothing is to much to give for you." He murmured and breathed in her scent. He touched his nose to her forehead and held that pose for a bit. Kits is what she wanted. Though he feared the idea. He was already so afraid to lose Fenrir. Could he bring life into the world and live with that aching doubled? Tripled? What if they had kits and he couldn't protect them? What if he wasn't good enough? He wasn't good enough... He'd watched Mortimor in the clearing with Ashlin. THat was a true father. Or Tarot with his young kits... He could never be that... But he could try if this was what Fenrir really wanted. "Fenrir." He murmured her name and cuddled her cheek to his chest, pressing his cheek on her forehead. "Do you hear that?" He meowed gently. "That heart beats for you." His eyes always so calm were smothered with love. "If you really want them, we'll have them." He promised.
Fenrir looked at him, her eyes wide and already she felt the guilt sink into her soul. She didn't want to burden him, she didn't want to be the only one who wanted them...she didn't want to be alone. She had always felt like a burden, to everyone but now she had found someone who cared, Fenrir didn't want to lose that.
"Chance, it's okay. I don't want to be the only one that wants them, I don't want you to have to feel burdened. If you want, we can forget the whole matter. After all, I feel like a mother to most of the kits anyways and I already take care of the clan," she whispered, cuddling into her mate's soft fur.
What had life been like before Chance, before the feel of warmth? Her life had been cold and uneventful and now she felt whole; she didn't want to ruin that.
If you want them, I want them." He meowed firmly, even though the idea of being a father still scared him. "Are you going to deprive me the..." He was searching for the word, because he'd never given much thought to being a father before. His father stood out in his mind...but... He'd never had a really family. He didn't really know HOW to be a father. He hadn't learned that from his dad. "The joy of being a dad?" He purred, "And you'll make the most wonderful mother." He insisted. "They'll be your kits. Not Avery's or Akira's or Adele's. And they'll be mine too."

Fenrir was all sad because she didn't have kits and the other she-cats were. But she was afraid to confront Chancy-boi about it because he's never really pushed for kits. And he's never really wanted them either. But he'd do anything for her!
